I just read on Rawstory that 40% of Americans are afraid to walk alone at night because they don’t feel safe in the streets. According to a Gallup poll four in ten Americans are afraid to walk within a mile of their homes alone at night. One in three has concerns about falling victim to crime, preventing them from driving around in their community and attending events, including concerts, fairs and sporting games.

I wonder how Europe(an cities) would score in that poll. Where do you come from? Do you feel safe at night, walking around with your camera in your hand?
