#18 Portugal: the final chapter

All good things must come to an end. So this is the last series of pictures from my trip to Portugal. Today, we visit the medieval monastery of Alcobaça, Tomar, the last Templar town to be commissioned for construction and one of Portugal's historical jewels and the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória in Batalha. We round up with some churches I visited in Lisbon.
I have the habit of reading a book on the country I visit, and I can highly recommend “The global history of Portugal”, edited by Carlos Fiolhais, if you’ld be interested.
